My Clever Group is proud to expand its growing team by welcoming three talented apprentices as permanent team members following their successful completion of the Clever Academy apprenticeship programme.

With offices in Manchester and Stoke, My Clever Group (MCG) takes pride in its people-first approach to recruitment and training. Established in 2019, Clever Academy provides young people with a safe and thriving space for them to develop skills, confidence and clarity for successful careers in technology.

The four ambitious apprentices started their journey with MCG in 2019 as Software Development Apprentices, and following 15 months of training and practical experience, three have now secured full time positions with the fourth expected to join MCG on a permanent basis in March this year.

Gareth Mobley, Executive Chairman of MCG commented: “We’re really proud of our first cohort as they graduate. Their attitude, newly developed skills and energy have without a question made a mark on the business and its future, and we’re all very excited to see how their journeys with MCG continue to unfold.

“As we virtually celebrate their achievements, it’s apparent that continued investment in young talent is crucial in order to grow an agile business. Our culture champions adaptability and new ways of thinking, that’s why the Clever Academy offers ongoing training and development, and focuses on building the individual’s long-term success.”

Nathaniel Adams, Junior Site Reliability Engineer, said: “The combination of valuable practical learning and theory with a purpose has been a component of the apprenticeship that has encouraged us to become better professionally and develop an individual interest in both current and future technologies.

“It’s taught us to not only learn for the purpose of personal growth but also giving back to a company that gave us a fantastic opportunity to start a career in a vast, deep, and ever-growing industry.”

Declan Melbourne, Junior Back End Engineer, commented: “I found the programme absolutely fantastic throughout, the support from MCG has been phenomenal and I’ve learned so much over the year. Since graduating, I have even more motivation and hunger to get better and grow as a junior. I’m extremely excited for the future!

Callum Newman Scott, Trainee IT Support, added: “During my time at MCG I’ve gained not only technical skills, but valuable life lessons and work practices providing me with a very solid base to build my career in tech. I would massively encourage any young person to apply for an MCG apprenticeship as you’re encouraged to improve your skills and be part of a fantastic team.”
